About Steve

I am Steve Nelson, Owner/Operator of Classic Carpet Cleaning. I have been an Ankeny business as well as an Ankeny resident for 20 years. I have been certified in carpet cleaning, odor control, carpet repair and re-installation, upholstery and fabric cleaning, journeyman textile cleaner and master textile cleaner, as well color repair.

Customer satisfaction is my 1st priority.
In my free time I enjoy time with my wife Christy traveling and also showing our two corvettes at various car shows.

FAQ
  • What method do you use to clean the carpets?
    We use a professional steam cleaner (hot water extraction) as recommended by the largest carpet mill in the world.
  • How long will the carpet take to dry?
    Normally, 6 hours. It mainly depends on air movement and humidity. Other factors would be carpet and home construction.
  • Can we walk on the carpet when it's wet?
    Yes, just be careful walking onto non-carpeted floor!
  • Do you offer Scotchgaurd?
    Yes. This will protect the fibers and help extend the life of your carpet.
  • If a spot comes out of the carpet but returns, what should we do?"
    Spots can occatinally come back. If this happens, we will come back one time to get it out.
  • Can you give me a free estimate over the phone or do you need to come to my home?
    Unless there are pet odor issues or other concerns, we can give you a price over the phone based on the information you provide.
  • I have had other companies show up late or not on time, how are you different?"
    Classic has set appointments, so we value your time. If we are running late, we will call you.
  • I've paid a lot of money to other companies that can't seem to address the pet odor in my carpet. How will you fix it?
    I am certified in pet odor and I get to the source of the problem. Please call for your free in-home estimate to talk about getting rid of or reducing the odor.
  • Do you move furniture?
